Before
we enter the small town named Daxu, our guide told us, please do
not do shopping there and also do not give money to the local people
for according to their custom, it will be a shame to accept the
money without using their labor. Li said it is everybody's duty
to keep this 400-year-old small town far away from the trend to
be commercialized.
Bringing
this principle with us, we enter this small town carefully...

Nice
farming field
... On the way to the
center of this small town, we passed the farming field first. Because
of the nice weather here, almost in every month you can see the
fresh vegetables and fruits here. The peasants here still use their
traditional tool to irrigate their own land. (See in pg 1)
These small and neat
houses (see in pg 2) behind the fields are the homes of the local
people...
Shots
(daily life of the local people there)
...On the top of the
longevity bridge, I heard the sound of the stream.
What a nice picture!
Several nice girls were doing washing in this small stream. They
were laughing and chatting and when we focused on them, some of
them fled away and the brave one waved to us and showed us a really
nice smile. (See in pg 3)
After saying bye-bye
to these nice girls, I was wandering on the lanes of this small
town.
I can't help shooting
here and there.
The natural laundry (See
in pg 4)
The small but neat clinic
(see in pg 5)
The Mom and kids on the
way home (See in pg 6)
The traditional kitchen
(See in pg 7)
The
Paradise for the human being and their friends, animals...
After entering the 21st
century, more and more people realize the importance of the environment
protection. Lots of people devote themselves to the new career,
animal protection. But still slaughter happened here and there.
When
the picture (See in pg 8) came into my lens, I deeply touched again.
The Mom cow, the baby cow and the lovely chicken in the middle presented
such a nice view for us. At that moment, the only word I can remember
is "Harmony".
Li
was calling everybody at the end of the lane. I realize it was moment
for us to leave. Although Li and lots of kind people inform the
tourists do not pollute this small town, I still found the new gift
shops and the new settlers in this small town.
When
the 80-year-old granny tried to sell me some of her family heritages,
I suddenly found comparing with the comfortable and rich life this
granny expected, tradition and custom were just like the mirage,
perfect but elusive, hard to find and easily to forget ...
