Why
it is so very important that you help with children's education?
 Education
is becoming increasingly vital to human survival and productivity.
Education is critical for economic growth and poverty reduction.
Since brain development is most extensive in the early years of
life, it is imperative to begin stimulating children's minds at
young ages.
The benefits of a basic
education are numerous. Literacy contributes to improvements in
child health and protection of the environment.
Children face several obstacles
in their struggle for education:
In China, economic reforms,
the transition from a communist system to a more capitalism oriented
society, have resulted ever wider gap between the haves and havenots.
In many areas, public schools only exist in name. Because
teachers don't have the proper funding from local government, they
have to make a living elsewhere instead in a school. In rural
areas schools are often inaccessible. Schools are often improperly
furnished, lacking such basics as tables and a blackboard.
The lack of money and the demand for family income have also made
many children laboring along with their parents in the rice fields.
China has over 1.3 billion
people, 20% are very young children. Our world can not afford
losing them. Your help is needed.
