Hi Darrell and Barb --- Welcome back from touring and healing
from the tour.
The info about
the Chinese school memorial fund for Jon Lindsay (he died
on March 27) can be viewed at http://www.regenttour.com/school/index.htm
. The program was 'discovered' by Pat Silveria of Brookings
OR (she lives about 5 miles from where Jon has a 13 acre
undeveloped lot) who has lead many tours to China and who
obtained the Chinese medicines for Jon. Pat has visited
one of the schools and says that it was extremely well organized
and managed. She has been a big supporter and promoter of
the school program among her US friends. You can see her
and learn about her seige with bladder cancer by going to
her website at http://blcwebcafe.org/stories/pat.asp
. She also has a website about some of her experiences in
China which is
kind of interesting and can be reached from the above site
or directly at: http://community-2.webtv.net/Pat_Silveria/Nihaowodepengyou/
. Pat is a rather unorthodox but very interesting and dedicated
person; she runs an ice cream store in Brookings. She says
that the best way to contribute to the school is to send
contributions in Jon's name to 'Jiang' (email address: regent@ij.net)
at the following USA office of the tour group which supports
the school (even though a different USA address appears
on the website):

A number of us
are going to be sending in contributions. Their website
(first one above) describes the program and support levels
they recommend (especially on the "FAQ" page); $60 supports
one child for a year. Call or email me if you have any questions.
We hope to get together with both of you soon -- especially
since we are going to be nearer neighbors soon.
