No other scenery in China is so unique, so indescribably beautiful yet mysterious, nor calls forth such breathless admiration as the karst region around Guilin.
By 0830am, please be ready in the hotel lobby and our guide will take you directly to the ferry. Starting at Guilin, the boat first passes Elephant Trunk Hill and Pierced Hill where the hole in the hill glistens like a moon in the reflection of the evening sun. Then comes Pagoda Hill and Fighting Cocks Hill.
Lunch is served on the cruise around 1130am. It takes approximately six hours to reach Yangshuo, a small town which the hoards of tourists and visitors have turned into a giant bazaar. If you do have the interest, a cup of coffee would be recommended on the so-called Foreigner's Street, where some of the small cafe offer the first class coffee as in deluxe hotels plus the most exotic atmosphere available nowhere else. On the return bus journey one more stop will also be made at the giant banyan tree reputed to be 1,300 years old.
