An international standard Postal Communication Center Building has been established in Kunming making it the biggest post and communication processing center in the southwest of China. Internet has become part of the life in Kunming accessible in most post office and hotels. (One of Regent China Tours' Internet teams is in fact Kunming based).  So far, Kunming has installed more than half a million program controlled telephones based upon optical fiber cables and microwave trunk line and numerous ground processing base for satellites. Kunming has become part of the international communication artery connecting it to every corner of China and every city in the world.
